Parent Supporters
- Parents can support their child and their Science Olympiad teammates by:
- Learning about student interests and directing them to resources
- Helping them set and achieve goals when building and studying
- Upholding the Science Olympiad code of ethics and parents’ pledge
- Parents can help the team coach run practices, fundraise, and get supplies
- Parents are also a great help at the State Tournament in Mar 2027, providing food, supervision, and encouragement
Parent Leaders
- Parents who are school-approved or district-approved volunteers can be team coaches (with the permission of the school and its principal)
- Parents, especially of middle school students, can support the team captain in building their leadership capacity
